We’re extremely grateful to all those who join us on our mission to galvanise the wider community, get more people committed to the real 3Rs, share good food with organisations helping those in need, and provide volunteering, work experience and training opportunities for local people. Together we can conserve more resources, fight poverty more effectively, and empower more people in our communities.
EMERGE 3Rs has secured a long lease for a better building, adjacent to our current site on New Smithfield Market, to provide better quality facilities for our staff, volunteers, donors and the wider community.
We need your help to refurbish ‘Melanie Maynard House’ – renamed in honour of Marcus Rashford’s Mum and hardworking parents like her – and bring about our ambition to provide 7 million meals to the most vulnerable families and children across Greater Manchester.
Please support our work by ‘buying a brick’ or contributing towards the cost of fire doors, racking, a bigger fridge and freezer, fire alarm system, kitchen and facilities for our amazing staff and volunteers… the list goes on. There’s also a lot to do in the eco-refurbishment and retrofit we are undertaking, including investment in solar panels on the roof, heat recovery from the fridges, rainwater capture and more!
